Deep Space Frequency
A downloadable Overlay for Windows
The signal is calling.
Deep Space Frequency is a desktop companion designed to run in the background while you work, code, or browse. It turns your screen into a listening post for the void.
Features:
- 📡 Live Desktop Overlay: Floats transparently over your wallpaper.
- ⛈️ Real World Data: Intercepts real data and translates it into signals.
- 🖱️ Passive Gameplay: Decrypt signals with a tactile wave-matching minigame.
- 🕵️ Mystery: Uncover a story hidden in the static.
⚠️ WINDOWS INSTALLATION NOTICE:
Because this is an experimental indie tool, Windows Defender might show a blue "SmartScreen" warning ("Unknown Publisher").
"More Info" -> "Run Anyway" to launch the scanner.
⚠️ ANOMALY WARNING:
While the Alpha currently focuses on atmospheric data, high-gain antennas may eventually pick up non-terrestrial signals.
Future updates will introduce a narrative layer. You are not just watching the signals. They might start watching back.

ISSUE:(possibly) on ultrawide screens the game starts in the corner and is exceedingly difficult to move around (the section that allows you to drag it is very thin/non-existent)
Thanks for testing! I fixed it by making the game responsive and resizable. You can now just resize at the borders, as in any other window.
Could you download the new version and test again? Much appreciated!
yup, better. I do want to note that forcing it to float on the top of everything is a bit aggressive--maybe try allow minimizing it and showing a bubble with numbers when new signals come in?
That's a good suggestion, going to implement it next.
Just added the minimize to tray feature, which also turns red when you have pending signals :)
